Women Making Waves Event

Lake Pleasant Marina, Phoenix, Arizona – 3/20/21: Saturday marked the first event for the WOMEN MAKING WAVES series presented by Century Marine, LTD. and Centurion Boats. Female water enthusiasts met at Lake Pleasant Marina in North Phoenix to take part in on-the-water boating lessons instructed by Century Marine GM Melanie Bosley Bloomfield and Pro Wake Surfer Nicole Hudson.

Participants spent the day learning how to launch and load their boats, dock and tow riders. Due to the ever increasing number of boaters on the water these days, this gave the opportunity to focus on safety while performing these everyday normal tasks that can become stressful.

There was a diverse group of women in attendance regarding their knowledge of boating. Some started completely new and fresh, while others were there for some brushing up on certain skills. It was a great experience to be able to lean on and learn from other participates who were facing common fears about handling their own boats. By the end of the day the nerves were lessened, and the smiles and confidence of each lady made it clear that the event was a great success.
